The Big Brands Bash Greets NMT No Limits Kawasaki

It’s the second visit of the season to Brands Hatch this weekend as NMT No Limits Kawasaki go looking for more celebratory champagne to be sprayed on the podium.

It’s the first outing of the season for the team around the GP layout in Kent after what was a terrific race weekend last time out at Thruxton.

Jordan Weaving led the charge from the front in Hampshire before taking his first victory in Team Green colours in the class and the young South African rider is hoping to make that a double success on Sunday which could take him within just four points of the Championship lead. Across the garage James East is hoping that his favourite track brings him the podium that his and the team’s hard work so richly deserves, after he picked up yet more points in Hampshire edging him ever closer towards the top ten in the Superstock 1000 championship.

Weaving is anticipating another tough battle at Brands over the course of the weekend but as always, he says the key to the best possible outcome is enjoying the track time on his Team Green machine.

Weaving said: “I always look forward to riding at the Brands GP Circuit as it’s a really fun track to ride and has a bit of everything for the rider.

He continued: “Of course we will go into this round looking to take the win or gain as many points as we can, but we have gone through the season open minded and we will continue to do so. It’s about not putting too much pressure on ourselves, t's just about continuing to enjoy riding the Kawasaki ZX-6R and should we do that then we will come away from the circuit on Sunday having achieved the best result we can.”

James East will be looking to emulate his success last year at Brands with another podium this weekendLast year the Brands Hatch was the scene for the best result of the season for James East in the Superstock 1000 class and he is looking for a podium or better yet again this weekend, as he takes to his favourite circuit for the first time on the NMT No Limits Kawasaki ZX-10R.

“Naturally, I'm optimistic for my home round. While we're not quite where we want to be with the bike yet, I know the team will work as hard as humanly possible, as will I. So it goes without saying I'll be doing my utmost and aiming for the podium once more.” East said.

“Brands Hatch GP is my favourite track, and one where I have had the most success in the past so there is plenty to be positive about going into this weekend.

“Looking a little further ahead, our realistic goal at this point is to work our way as close to the top six in the Championship as we can. We’re only three points outside the top ten at the moment, so there would be no better way of getting closer to our goal after picking up a really positive result this weekend at my home circuit.”
