Retail Store Manager, Ebbw Vale, South Wales

When it comes to Workwear, Williamson-Dickie Europe is the global leader. Our unique blend of quality and value has brought us tremendous success. Due to our continued retail expansion, we are now looking to recruit a Retail Manager for our store in Ebbw Vale, 45 minutes drive north of Newport.


About the Job
 

Working in a modern retail environment on the Festival Park Outlet, you will be dealing with all aspects of shop duties including store and staff management, stock replenishment, presentation and, of course, dealing with customers. Detailed responsibilities include:

  • managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
  • managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
  • analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales
  • analysing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning
  • using information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning
  • dealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organising training and development
  • ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
  • resolving security issues
  • responding to customer queries, complaints and comments;
  • organising special promotions, displays and events
  • updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
  • touring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers and identifying or resolving urgent issues
  • Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing;
  • Initiating changes to improve the business
  • Promoting the organisation locally through social media
  • Reaching sales targets and increasing profits

Suitable candidates will offer the following skills

  • Excellent customer service and retail sales skills
  • A proven track record within a retail environment
  • Management experience and good people skills
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Stock Control
  • Experience of handling cash
  • Basic keyboard/PC skills and understanding
  • An eye for detail and presentation
