UKWOTY 2013 Winner Completes Heroic Trip From Wimbledon to Littlebredy - on a Combine Harvester

Judi James, 54, a farmer from Littlebredy in Dorchester and the winner of Dickies sponsored UK Worker of the Year 2013, has completed her three day trip from Wimbledon to Dorset to raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign.

Judi set off on her journey from Wimbledon at 2pm on the 9th June, reaching her hometown in Littlebredy at 5pm on the 11th June.

The determined farmer, who wowed the judges on her way to being crowned UK Worker of the Year last year, has been delighted with the support and backing she has received in the lead up to her fund-raising initiative and hopes that now she has completed her amazing journey, people will continue to donate and get behind her.

Judi James said: “It feels great to have reached the finish line and achieved my ultimate goal. It was an amazing journey and I received a positive response from everyone on route. Winning the UK Worker of the Year competition gave me the confidence and belief that I could do this. If it wasn’t for the competition, I doubt any of this would have happened. I’m already thinking about what I could do next year to top this achievement.”

Maurice Morton, sales and marketing director at Dickies stated: “Dickies have been behind Judi’s initiative from the beginning and we’re delighted that winning the UK Worker of the Year competition gave her the confidence to achieve such as amazing feat. We look forward to seeing Judi on this year’s UK Worker of the Year judging panel as we search for the 2014 winner.”  Welcoming food and drinks for Judi as she arrived back at Littlebreddy farm
