UK Worker of the Year 2015 and Dickies Prove a Huge Hit at Donington Park as British Superbike Championship Gets Underway

Globally recognised workwear brand Dickies proved a huge hit at Donington Park, as the Somerset-based brand started their new MCE British Superbike Championship campaign.

Dickies, who is the associate sponsor of the new Be Wiser Kawasaki team, had a presence all over Donington Park. Along with the new team, Dickies had a mobile showroom in the trade area, along with a Dickies Paddock shop.

It was an exciting weekend for Dickies, who launched the new Be Wiser Kawasaki team clothing; that was sold from the Dickies mobile showroom. Dickies has announced that the new team merchandise, which includes riders’ Chris Walker and Danny Buchan clothing, can be purchased at every UK based MCE British Superbike round, or alternatively, fans can buy it online at Dickies Store.

Maurice Morton, sales and marketing director at Dickies, stated: “It was a great weekend for all of us. We are incredibly proud to be sponsoring the new Be Wiser Kawasaki team and it was great to see the campaign kick start in the way it did. We have received great reviews regarding the new merchandise and it was fantastic to see hundreds of people enter UK Worker of the Year 2015. The Ninja 300 main prize was present on our stand and went down really well with spectators. It’s certainly shaping up to be the toughest competition yet.”

UK Worker of the Year is now in its sixth year, with Dickies again setting out to recognise and reward hard workers in the UK. With their involvement with the new team, Dickies have offered this year’s winner the luxurious choice between a Kawasaki Ninja 300 and a dream £5,000 holiday.

During the weekend, rider and Dickies ambassador Chris Walker, along with teammate Danny Buchan, visited the Dickies showroom to sign posters and merchandise for their admirers. Both riders were welcomed by hundreds of fans, all wanting their clothing signed by their favourite riders.

Dickies is again providing all clothing for marshals (the orange army), paramedics and media at all British Superbike Championship meetings. The third round at Oulton Park over May Bank Holiday weekend is also dubbed the Dickies sponsored round.
