Law Out To Make It A Hat-trick At Oulton Park

NMT No Limits Kawasaki’s Mason Law is on the hunt for his third win a row this weekend, at the picturesque Oulton Park circuit in Cheshire over the bank holiday weekend.Law focussed ahead of Bank holiday thriller

After his dominant performances at Donington Park and Brands Hatch, Benfleet man Mason Law will be the man to beat this weekend, as the third round of the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship rolls into leafy Cheshire.

After testing at the circuit a few weeks ago, both Mason Law and Jordan Weaving are confident as they head into one of the favourite races of the Championship, for both riders and fans alike.

Jordan Weaving is now on the mend after his broken rib at round one and the flu he battled well at round two, and will be firing on all cylinders at the 2.6-mile track. The team’s satellite rider Tom Oliver has bounced back well after his crash in round two during the race, and is on the hunt for points.

For this round only, Matt Whitman will join the team to run the Superstock 1000 machine, in the place of injured Nick Anderson, who should be back fully fit for the World Superbike round at Donington Park. The 28 year old Whitman, who has been a regular on the Supersport podium in previous years, and the runner up in the R6 cup in 2006, will bring added experience to the team, and will be fighting hard for a good result come Sunday’s race.

Oulton Park is a favourite circuit with the racers, teams and fans, and with the championship table now taking shape, everyone can expect a thrilling bank holiday Monday.

Team Manager Barry Boughton said: “The team has worked really hard to pull things together for this season, and the two wins for Mason in the opening two rounds sets the bar high.

“Jordan is getting more settled on the bike each time he gets on it and with the support we have around him, we are expecting a solid performance to kick start his season. Our satellite rider Tom Oliver has made a promising start and we are looking for more of the same this weekend.

“Also this weekend we have decided to give Matt Whitman a run out on the bike, it’s a one off ride for him so there is no pressure. We want to give our partners and sponsors the maximum exposure we can. So I’m really excited ahead of this weekend.”

Championship leader, Mason Law added: “I’m super excited for round three of the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship. We participated in the No Limits Endurance series at the undulating circuit of Oulton a few weeks back, and we used our time wisely testing a few different things.

“Together with my mechanics and my Kais Ohlins technician we found a good base setup, one that I have never quite found there before. We came away from this test very pleased and now it’s time to do the business for real.”

A resurgent Jordan Weaving concluded: “I’m really excited to ride again, especially at Oulton Park as it’s one of my favourites to ride. I didn’t have a good start to the season, getting two DNF’s so I’m hoping to turn it round this weekend and finish on a high.”
