Dickies Supports Friends of Kagando

Dickies Europe will be donating 20 Redhawk Economy Stud Front Coveralls and 10 pairs of Pennines Wellington Boots to Friends of Kagando charity. Kagando Hospital and Rurual Development Centre is situated in Kasese District iin Western Uganda and is more commonly known as Kagango Hospital. The Friends of Kagando is based in the UK and is a charitable trust that was set up in 2003.

Aid workers, James Kilkinson and Jonny Rowland (both from Yorkshire) previously visited Uganda while working in the country for the summer and felt they were in need of more appropriate clothing. James comments,

"After previously visiting over the summer I could see that we really needed some lightweight working overalls and wellingtons, the workers had no uniforms and were working in rags, so I know they will be overwhelmed when they receive some quality work clothes. The Wellies are especially important as we are running up to the wet season."

The Dickies Redhawk range is both functional and durable. The overalls retain the Dickies traditional construction standards.

The Dickies Pennine Wellington Boots are comfortable yet hardwearing boots with a classic design. Their strong, abrasive resistant soles are essential for wet and muddy conditions.

James and Jonny will be returning to work in Uganda for an agricultural charity where farms have up to 10 workers. They will be helping to introduce good farming practice in a highly remote area where the food produced is used directly for the local hospital. James says, "I really appreciate that Dickies have supported us."
