Dickies Sponsored Hopper Ready For Some Podium Action at Brands Hatch

Tyco Suzuki British Superbike star John Hopkins, who is sponsored by legendary workwear company Dickies, is adamant that podium finishes are his optimum goal, as the Championship moves to Brands Hatch for round five on the GP circuit this weekend in Kent.Hopper is itching to get back on form this weekend at Brands

The American took a steady top six placing in this morning’s opening free practice session for the Brands event, and having taken a double podium in the corresponding fixture back in 2011 – also on GSX-R machinery – there’s every chance we could see a long awaited Star-Spangled Banner fluttering above one of the steps on the podium this coming Sunday.

Hopkins said: “Not a bad start here at Brands, and as I said after Knockhill, we know the potential is there – we just need to put it all together. I’ve worked hard again between races with my preparation, so it’s about time we got on that podium. Let’s just keep putting the work in this weekend and see what happens. Brands Hatch GP is a good circuit for me and I think we can go really well here on the Tyco Suzuki.”

Maurice Morton, sales and marketing director at Dickies said: “Brands Hatch GP has given the team some good memories in the past, no less than the final round last year. It’s a real riders’ circuit and often a pivotal point in the season. John has worked hard on his fitness and the team equally as much, on the preparation of the GSX-R1000 Superbike.”
