Dickies and UK Worker of the Year Hit Knockhill in Search for First Scottish Finalists

UK Worker of the Year, a competition run by legendary workwear company Dickies, has never had a Scottish finalist, with Dickies set to give the Scottish public a chance to put that right by promoting the competition this weekend at Knockhill.

Knockhill, the home of the fifth British Superbike Championship round, will allow fans to stake their claim to become this year’s UK Worker of the Year. Dickies has promoted the competition at every British Superbike round so far, getting a record number of entries last time out at Snetterton.A record number of entries to the competition were gained last time out at Snetterton

UK Worker of the Year 2015 is sponsored by Dickies, in association with Kawasaki. This year’s winner will have the luxury of being able to choose between a Kawasaki Ninja 300 and holiday vouchers up to the value of £5,000.

Similar to last year, this year’s winner will also have the chance to win £100K cash at Brands Hatch at the final British Superbike meeting in October, should he/she predict the top 6 riders placing in the final BSB race.

Maurice Morton, sales and marketing director at Dickies, said: “We are now halfway through this year’s UK Worker of the Year competition and the entries so far have been fantastic. The response we received at Snetterton at the last round was great, and we hope that the Scottish hopefuls get behind the competition this weekend. Who knows, this year Scotland may just produce this year’s UK Worker of the Year winner.”

Alongside promoting UK Worker of the Year 2015 to the Knockhill crowds, fans will also have the chance to visit the Dickies showroom to purchase their Be Wiser Kawasaki team merchandise. From caps to jackets, Dickies will be selling not only the debutant team clothing, but also personal Chris Walker and Danny Buchan team merchandise. Both riders will also be signing autographs for fans on race day.
