Be Wiser Kawasaki Rider Chris Walker into Top Ten After Impressive First Round at Donington Park

Donington Park played host to debutants Be Wiser Kawasaki over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, as rider Chris Walker got his season off to a steady start.

Chris, nicknamed ‘The Stalker’, picked up two impressive top ten positions, following up his 8th place position in race one with a credible 10th place in race two.

Chris, who qualified in 16th position for race one, showed fans exactly why he acquired the nickname ‘Stalker’; demonstrating to fans that it may not take the vastly experienced rider too long to get used to the new bike and team.

Chris, commented: “It was important for me to get off to a decent start. We have a fantastic team and I’d love to give something back to everyone who has believed in me. Getting on the new bike for the first time in competition was great. I hope I can improve as the season progresses and I’m looking forward to getting out there and doing it all over again in a fortnight’s time at Brands Hatch.”

Race one in the heat at Donington Park was won by rider James Ellison, who was then beaten by Chris Walker in race two, which saw last year’s MCE British Superbike Championship Shane Byrne pip Dan Linfoot to the all-important podium position.

Chris, who is the Dickies ambassador this season, also paid a visit to the Dickies showroom on Monday morning to sign autographs for his loyal fan base. Chris, along with teammate and rider Danny Buchan, was greeted by hundreds of fans, as the riders took some time out to sign posters and clothing for their beloved fans.

It was also a landmark day for Chris and his new team, as Dickies launched the new ‘Stalker’ merchandise at Donington Park. This was the first opportunity fans had to get their hands on the new Walker clothing range, which includes caps, hoodies and t-shirts.

Next up for Chris is a trip to Brands Hatch on the 17-19th April, where ‘Old But Gold’ will hope to improve on his 10th place position in this year’s MCE British Superbike Championship.
