The new, 1500 sq ft Dickies store at Unit H7 will carry a large stock of clothing and footwear suitable for all industries, as well as day to day wear; one particular range that is expected to sell especially well is a selection of stylish and fashionable garments, shoes and boots called ‘Dickies 22’, which has been created for the modern worker who wants practical and durable clothing whilst looking and feeling good.

The company chose ‘Junction 32’ as their first retail outlet because of its central location, proximity to motorways and busy footfall. It will provide jobs for up to 10 people.

Announcing the new store opening, Maurice Morton, Sales and Marketing Director for the company said: “The company first started in Texas, USA in 1922 so we have built up a great deal of experience over the years supplying the trade with workwear to suit every working situation. Now we are delighted to be entering into retail in the UK to showcase our products to the public for the first time”.

The store was opened by Ryan Hudson, Captain of the local rugby team - the Castleford Tigers, along with the team’s mascot ‘JT’.
