Senior Web Developer - Nottinghamshire

DickiesStore.co.uk based in Ripley, Nottinghamshire, is responsible for the online sales & development of Williamson-Dickie Europe's ‘Direct To Consumer’ brand. 
As Senior Web Developer, you will report to the General Manager for DickiesStore and lead the transformation of the varied existing web platforms into a consolidated singular code base that is utilised for all future brand sites within the Dickies Europe umbrella.

This is a One year fixed-term contract to finalise the creation of eCommerce and technical solutions by developing, implementing and maintaining our web platforms. You will ensure the performance and security of all delivered solutions and advancements, whilst maintaining a clear audit trail of work completed. Ongoing preparation and presentation of technical ideas, developments and solutions for Senior Management and Directors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full stack senior level web developer (60-70% PHP 5.6)
  • Responsible for/reporting line for small team of Web Developers (x2 employees)
  • Recommend all technical developments, initiatives and performance improvements for the digital environment
  • Prioritise development tasks in line with business requirements and optimum efficiencies
  • Create and follow project and development plans, whilst helping set and lead agreed timelines and identifying clear prophecy goals, requirements and methodology
  • Lead the development and direction for the provision of technical solutions as per business needs by way of writing and overseeing code in agreed technical language(s)
  • Ensure thorough testing and user acceptance prior to development task deployment on live site(s)
  • Accurately track personal and development team code changes as per company procedures. Complete and submit status reports in a timely manner
  • Establish harmonious relationships with fellow Web Developers. Motivate, advise, listen considerately and accept input to enable ongoing personal development and technical learning
  • Maintain the highest levels of online security

Essential Requirements

  • PHP 5.6 (minimum 2yrs as a Senior Developer in PHP)
  • MySQL / PostgreSQL

  • JavaScript
  • CSS
  • HTML
  • Leadership / People Management Skills
  • Project management experience
